AboutŞirvan Sofrasi Family
Şirvan Sofrasi means the house of male lions. It is also the name of a city from Azerbaijan and the name of the town Siirt, in eastern Turkey. Şirvan is an established family business with decades of restaurant experience behind them and has five other restaurants around Turkey.
The restaurant Şirvan Sofrasi in Istanbul is popular with both local people and visitors, who enjoy the extra flavors and textures available due to both our stone and wood ovens and our three chefs, Ottoman chef Bahri Kaya, chef of Kebap Medeni Yavuz and Nesip Yavuz. First, we serve balloon bread (fresh warm pita) with some butter, then our mezes and warm appetizers and then depending on your order: Kebap, Ottoman Anatolian dishes, fish or Turkish pizzas.
Our restaurant has the capacity to seat 150 people, 70 seats inside and 80 outside, with a total size of 250m². Şirvan Sofrasi has two lovely outdoor terraces on which to enjoy the beautiful Mediterranean climate, one at the front, and one at the back of the restaurant. We also plan to add a garden with a ‘nargile’ (water pipe) to our facilities soon, so our customers can enjoy all the different flavors of this traditional water pipe in the setting of a relaxing garden.
